Storage & Transportation for your Motorcycle

Storage and transport are crucial aspects of motorcycle care that many riders might not be thrilled about, but they are essential for keeping your bike in top condition. Proper storage and transport ensure that your motorcycle remains safe and in good working order when you’re not riding it.

Storage & Maintenance

For effective storage and maintenance, having the right equipment is essential. A stand—whether a side stand, center stand, or paddock stand—is necessary to keep your bike upright and stable. To further secure your bike, consider using bobbins and a wheel clamp to prevent any accidental tipping or movement.

When storing your motorcycle for an extended period, it’s important to maintain the battery's charge. Connect it to a battery charger to keep it in optimal condition. Additionally, covering your motorcycle with a motorcycle cover will protect it from dust and environmental elements.

If you're planning to perform maintenance or simply want to keep your bike in pristine condition during storage, a service pit mat is a great investment. It provides a clean and comfortable surface for your bike and makes maintenance tasks easier and more enjoyable.

Transporting Your Motorcycle

Transporting a motorcycle can be necessary for various reasons, such as moving a vintage bike or when your motorcycle is inoperable. Given that motorcycles typically weigh over 150 kg, manual handling is impractical. Many riders opt to use a trailer for transport. Secure your motorcycle on the trailer using tie straps to ensure it remains stable and in place during transit.

To facilitate loading the motorcycle onto the trailer, use a ramp. This tool allows you to easily drive the motorcycle up onto the trailer, making the process straightforward and efficient.
